Main Ceremony processional begins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in Lions’ Stadium 

Media Note:

Members of the media may find information and press passes at the visitor’s side entrance of Lions’ Stadium (the stadium entrance closest to the Student Recreation Center).


Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17, 2013

Thursday, May 16 will consist of three sessions of Departmental Ceremonies, and the Main Ceremony in Lions’ Stadium. Following the Main Ceremony will be the President’s Reception. On Friday, May 17, there will be two sessions of Departmental Ceremonies. In the event of severe weather, this schedule will be slightly modified. Please refer to the Severe Weather scenario for more information.

Main Ceremony:

Main Ceremony processional will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Lions’ Stadium on Thursday, May 16. Graduates will begin lining up, in cap and gown, by 5 p.m. The Main Ceremony will be held rain or shine in Lions’ Stadium (absent severe weather).



The Main Ceremony will take place in Lions’ Stadium, The College of New Jersey, 2000 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08628
Departmental Ceremonies will take place at various locations on campus. Please refer to for details.

1,956 total; 1,567 undergraduate, 389 graduate
(*Number of students eligible to graduate in May. Not all graduates will be in attendance on commencement day)

TCNJ Commencement Reception:

Immediately following the Main Ceremony on Thursday, President Gitenstein will host TCNJ Commencement Reception on Quimby’s Prairie, Green Lawn, and in the Alumni Grove. Refreshments will be served, and all guests are welcome!
