In May 2013, TCNJ was recommended for approval for more than $57 million in grants to be used for capital projects supporting STEM initiatives on campus, including a 74,000-square-foot STEM building. Planning for this project started during the 2013-14 academic year and construction drawings are currently in progress. The college plans to issue bid documents in January 2015, with groundbreaking expected in the spring of 2015.
