The College of New Jersey will host the “Thrive: Wellness Expo” on Tuesday, April 4 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center.
The event is open to all students, faculty, and staff and coincides with National Public Health Week, which takes place April 3–9.
The Expo will bring together over 25 vendors, including on-campus offices, academic departments, and student organizations, to provide interactive health and wellness activities in addition to information on alcohol and drug education programs and anti-violence initiatives.
TCNJ participants include: Barnes & Noble @ TCNJ, Campus Police, Collegiate Recovery Program, Center for Mindfulness and Compassion, Division of Student Affairs, Health & Exercise Science, Office of Human Resources, Recreation and Wellness, Student Health Services, Public Health, and Dining Services
External partners include: Active Minds, Attitudes in Reverse, Body Zen Massage/doTerra Essential Oils, Humanitarian Yoga Club, Planned Parenthood Education Department, and Pepsi Co.
Students also can enjoy free massages provided by Body Zen Massage, make their own smoothie using an exercise bike-powered blender, reduce stress by interacting with therapy dogs, and sample various healthy foods and beverages.
Classes and other offerings will include racquetball lessons, yoga, and jazzercise.
