TCNJ to host website development and coding mini-boot camp

TCNJ will host a first-of-its-kind coding mini-boot camp from September 14-16, 2017.

The course, offered in partnership with Launch Academy, will teach participants how to construct web pages while incorporating the building blocks of the modern web: HTML5 and CSS3.

Using these tools, attendees will convert a set of digital designs into a static webpage using what are known as responsive design techniques.

“This is the only face-to-face mini-boot camp for web design offered in New Jersey,” said TCNJ External Program Specialist George Hefelle. “Our program allows those interested in web design and coding to learn the fundamentals of responsive web design without having to commit to a 15-week coding boot camp.”

The program, led by Launch Academy Co-Founder Dan Pickett, is geared towards individuals interested in learning web development as well as professionals who are looking to incorporate web development into their current discipline.

Over the three days students will attend lectures, read relevant materials, and work collaboratively to construct static web pages.

There are no prerequisites and attendees do not need previous programming experience.

The course will take place on campus at TCNJ’s Art and Interactive Multimedia Building.

The cost is:

Before August 22: $949.00
After August 22: $1249.00
Corporate Rate: $949.00 for 3 or more
TCNJ Alumni: $949.00
