Lions pride was on display on November 2, 2017 as 1,455 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends came together to raise $288,562 in just 24 hours as part of the college’s third annual Day of Giving.
This year’s effort was part of the 18.19.20 fundraising initiative honoring President Gitenstein.
This year’s totals top the 1,046 donors and $132,426 raised last year.
Included among the highlights:
· 51 percent of contributors were alumni.
· 22 percent of contributors were faculty/staff.
· The largest number of donors (35) came from the class of 2021.
· The class of 2010 raised the most of any class with $14,235.
· All 10 challenges were unlocked.
· A separate $10,000 challenge, from Andy ’83 and Maria ’83 Polansky, for hitting 1,250 donors was announced the day of the event and also was met.
· The project with the largest number of donors was Athletics with 279 donors.
