The College of New Jersey’s Alumni Association announced the newest members to its executive board. The eight inductees were voted in during the June 16 meeting and assumed their roles on July 1.
“We are thrilled to welcome our newly appointed members to the Alumni Association board of directors,” says Ian Ruderman ’89, board president. “With almost 70 applicants, paring it down to these individuals was both challenging and fun. The pool of talented, dedicated alumni is indeed strong and growing stronger. I do not doubt that these eight new board members will jump right into the great work the rest of the board is doing for our alumni community.”
The new representatives include:
Carla Kopp ’85, an analyst at Educational Testing Service.
Her TCNJ fun fact: Carla was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon and the computer science club.
James Moore ’91, an award-winning sales professional for Wiley Publishing.
His TCNJ fun fact: After graduation, James worked with President Gitenstein to continue to raise awareness for the EOF program.
Dave Puskar ’93, a product manager for Global Data.
His TCNJ fun fact: Dave was an adjunct instructor for the School of Business.
Brendan Dunne ’01, an active-duty Colonel and former member of the 75th Ranger Regiment who is the director of a technology and innovation platform for U.S. Special Operations Command in Washington, D.C.
His TCNJ fun fact: Brendan was a member of the TCNJ football team.
Melanie Hinds ’02, a vice principal at the Marion P. Thomas Charter School in Newark, NJ.
Her TCNJ fun fact: Melanie was the president of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin sorority.
Jennifer Silvestrov-Guarini ’03, a certified fraud examiner and head of North American fraud and disputes operations at Genpact.
Her TCNJ fun fact: Jennifer has served as a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit, speaker for the School of Business, and judge for the Mayo Business Plan Competition.
Gloria Ansaldi ’11, a mathematics teacher at Morris Hills Regional High School District in Rockaway, NJ.
Her TCNJ fun fact: Gloria has participated in the math department’s math professional development programs and has spoken to Cathy Liebars’ math education classes.
Ryan Chiu ’19, a senior associate in global fund banking at Silicon Valley Bank.
His TCNJ fun fact: In 2018, Ryan was a part of Team MARco, which won the Mayo Business Plan Competition.
