Thunder, TCNJ formally announce radio merger

The Trentonian reported on the Trenton Thunder formally announcing their partnership with WTSR 91. 3 FM, the radio station at The College of New Jersey, to broadcast all of the team’s games — regular-season and postseason — for at least the next two years.

Mark Kiselica, vice provost and professor of counseling at The College of New Jersey, has been ranked one of the top scholars in the counseling profession based on a recent content analysis of the Journal of Counseling and Development (JCD), the premier publication of the American Counseling Association.

RWJF Nursing Faculty Program Awards Scholarships

Two TCNJ nursing students, Caitlin Fett and Alexander Manning, received scholarships from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s New Jersey Nursing Initiative Faculty Preparation Program. The scholarships address New Jersey’s nursing faculty shortage by supporting students seeking graduate degrees. The program partners with the New Jersey Education Collaborative, four state-funded colleges and universities.

TCNJ’s Avery Faigenbaum in the Wall Street Journal: School, Homework, Pump Iron

Avery Faigenbaum, professor of exercise science at The College of New Jersey, was quoted in an article for the Wall Street Journal that focused on the recent youth strength training phenomenon. The article cited his recent paper on the topic issued by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He explained, “”I’m not a fan of strength training at home unless Mom or Dad has a background in PE and understands pediatric strength-training guidelines.”

Galloway earns silver status, seeks gold in sustainability

The Press of Atlantic City reported on Galloway Township taking strides to become a sustainable community, according to Sustainable Jersey, a certification program based out of The College of New Jersey.
