John Karsnitz, the longtime chair and professor of technological studies at TCNJ, retired in December 2012. A scholarship fund has been established to honor the visionary educator.
TCNJ maintains a Critical Incident Planning Group, which meets continuously throughout the year and develops action plans for potential emergency occurrences, including violent crimes, natural disasters, facilities failures, rapidly spreading illness, and many other potential challenges.
Taylor will begin her tenure on March 18, 2013, assuming leadership for the College’s academic programs and direction of the strategic plan.
The Bonner Center is now located on the third and fourth floors of Holman Hall – the main lobby for the Center will be located in room 377.
Alan Amtzis, PhD, director of The College of New Jersey’s Masters of Education Program in Educational Leadership: Instruction, has been appointed academic co-editor of The Educational Forum.

In May, a group of TCNJ students enrolled in The Natural History of the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador will take a two-week, faculty-led trip to the Galapagos Islands, which was complemented by classroom introduction to the natural history of the islands offered in the spring semester.
Zach Zappala went to Dallas, Texas for the 42nd annual Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE), where he won the undergraduate student research competition. The SIGCSE international conference is an annual gathering of the Association of Computing Machinery, or ACM, the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society.
In the past four years, 100% of TCNJ’s chemistry graduates have entered the workforce or been accepted into postgraduate study immediately upon earning their diploma.
